Remove the Guesswork from Investing

Take advantage of stock market volatility.
Investors often struggle with deciding when to invest, and history indicates that market timing doesn't work for most of us. Trying to decide the best time to buy may mean missed opportunities since significant appreciation can occur over short periods of time. One way to potentially avoid the pitfalls of market timing is through a monthly investment plan called "dollar-cost averaging." By investing the same amount at regular intervals, you buy more shares when prices are lower and may actually reduce the average cost of your shares over time. Take advantage of market volatility and make unpredictable market fluctuations work for you!

1)

Automatic Investing
A fixed amount of money is transferred electronically from your bank account on a monthly or quarterly basis--you pick the day of the month.
Adding an automatic investment plan allows you to:
• Make investing a priority
• Put the market’s ups and downs to work for you
• Take the worry out of when to invest
• Potentially reduce your average cost per share

To build retirement assets, consider a monthly investment plan for your IRA contributions!

Go to our Forms page and select our Shareholder Services Form.

Already have your personal bank account information on your Oakmark account? Simply log in to Online Account Access and add an Automatic Investment Plan--it’s that easy!

2)

Payroll Direct Deposit
Elect to have a portion of your paycheck directed to your existing Oakmark fund. It's electronic, it's easy, and you're paying yourself first!

Go to our Forms page and select our Payroll Deduction Application.

3)

Electronic Purchase
Make additional investments directly from your bank account--any time you choose--to purchase shares in your Oakmark fund. Once you set up this option on your account, simply call or visit the website to request a purchase from your bank account to your Oakmark fund.

Go to our Forms page and select our Shareholder Services Form.

Once bank instructions are added to your account, you can also use online account access to add Automatic Investing.

A program of regular investment cannot ensure a profit or protect against loss in a declining market. Because such a program involves continuous investment regardless of fluctuating share values, investors should consider their ability to continue the program through all market cycles.
