In 2009, you no longer need to report income passed through from a mutual fund on a country-by-country basis. For shareholders filing Form 1116, page 13 of the Form’s 2009 instructions specifies it is no longer necessary to enter income from a mutual fund on a country-by-country basis. For shareholders using TurboTax®, Foreign Dividends Received represents 98% of the dividends from Oakmark Global Fund and 100% of the dividends from Oakmark Global Select, Oakmark International, and Oakmark International Small Cap Funds. For the Foreign Country field, enter "Various" because Oakmark paid taxes to more than one country. Tax Preparation and Reporting View Tax Forms Online: View 2009 tax forms online by logging in to your account. Find the appropriate Fund account on the Portfolio of Accounts page and click on the “Transactions” button. Under the Account Administration section on the Account Details page, click on “Request Tax Information.” Select a form to view and click on the “View Tax Forms” button. If you have not yet established a User ID and Password, simply follow our instructions to Create a User ID and Password. If you are using TurboTax® software or the online program -- and you have an active oakmark.com User ID and Password -- simply enter your account's User ID and Password to import your 2009 year-end tax form information into TurboTax® when prompted by the TurboTax® program. You MUST have an active oakmark.com User ID and Password in order to use this service. If you have not yet established a User ID and Password, you must do so prior to initiating the TurboTax® software or online program. Simply follow our instructions to Create a User ID and Password. If you have already established an oakmark.com User ID and Password, you can utilize TurboTax’s online filing feature immediately. In addition, you can access the online tax center sponsored by TurboTax® that provides useful year-end tax preparation tips, Q&As, tax calendars, and calculators.
